Classified as a Historical Monument, the Plô Tower is the only civil vestige of the feudal world. About 24 metres high, located a few metres from the collegiate church, this monumental building is emblematic of the historic and architectural landscape of the city of Saint-Yrieix.
The interior parts of the Plô Tower, divided into different levels, host a museum space dedicated to history and evolution, through the eras of this remarkable building. To finish the visit a panoramic terrace offers a unique view of the city.

Saint-Yrieix is located 40 km south of Limoges, 60 km north-west of Brive and 60 km north-east of Périgueux. The City owes its name to Aredius, a 6th century Christian saint who founded an abbey. The current city is gathered around a nucleus of ancient constructions that constitute the medieval city dominated by the collegiate church. Today the city and its medieval city are classified among the "Most beautiful detours of France".
