Discover the history of Monpazier!

Head to the Bastideum, the Monpazier Museum, to meet Clothilde, niece of the great architect and builder of the Bastide de de Monpazier, whose secrets she knows. Follow her in the streets of Monpazier she will take you to meet characters who have marked the history of the Bastide over the centuries!
Finally Clothilde invites you to a small snack in the medieval garden of the Bastideum. This will be the opportunity for you to face Buffarot, Jean Galmot and many others around our many old games!

Bastideum invites throughout the year to travel at the heart of a medieval city(estate). The Centre of Interpretation(Performance) of Monpazier plunges the visitors into the history(story) of ancient country-houses, to discover architecture, heritage and everyday life in these new cities of the XIIth century. Video, audio, application, garden and medieval games(sets), everything is made for the immersion at the heart of Middle Ages with the ways(means) of the XXIth century.
