Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 7pm
«The time of bridges. Four centuries of challenges from Bordeaux»
The exhibition explores the history of the crossing of the Garonne from the 18th to the 21st century, from ferries and other naval houses, to road bridge projects, realized or left in the boxes. From the stone bridge to the Simone-Veil bridge, including the ferry bridge, the Saint-Jean bridge, the Aquitaine bridge and the Chaban-Delmas bridge: exceptional works of art, expression of the modernity of their time.
«Rosa Bonheur, out-of-frame. The artist from the perspective of the archives» - Focus Matrimoine
From his childhood in Bordeaux, to his father Raymond, himself a landscape painter with tributes in the public space, the exhibition looks back on a few milestones in the career of this woman artist who succeeded in imposing herself and being accepted by the society of her time.
“In the footsteps of Regina Badet” - Focus Matrimoine
A selection of documents honours actress and dancer Régina Badet (Bordeaux, 1876-1949), from her early beginnings at the Bordeaux Opera in 1890 to her interpretation of the Bacchus Triomphant for the Fête des Vendanges in 1909. They reveal an artist whose career later extended to Paris, where she became a star dancer at the Opéra-Comique and played Concepcion Perez, the troubled heroine of Pierre Louys and Pierre Frondaie’s La femme et le pantin at the theatre. After touring South America and a brief foray into film, she ended her career in the early 1920s and returned to Bordeaux until her death in 1949.

Bordeaux Métropole archives are installed(settled) in the general stores built in 1859 and rehabilitated by the cabinet(office) of Belgian architecture, Robbrecht in Daem. Monumental reading room is overhung by the stores of preservation which gather(collect) the bottoms of the Metropolis and of the cities of Bordeaux, of Bruges and of Pessac.
A meeting room and an exhibition hall as well as workshops(studios) for the school allow, since the unveiling of the building(ship) on March 10th, 2016, to welcome the readers in a comfortable space and to develop a cultural programme promoting bottoms. The Square, done up as an experimental garden, offers a space advantageous for relaxation and for discovery of the district in the process of arrangement(development).
