On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Moulin d'Eymet association, which has been involved in this restoration project since 2016, wishes to open, very exceptionally, the doors of this "sustainable heritage". Visits to the mill will allow you to discover this medieval building, its history and its peninsula on the Dropt. Testimonials from visitors will be collected and the mill renovation site will be explained in its stages. The project of craft activities will be discussed with all those who wish to participate in its implementation in the future.
The program of these European Heritage Days is made up of 4 parts:
- Guided tours of the mill and its peninsula;
- Presentation of the history of the mill based on reproductions of postcards and dates resulting from research and the collection of stories gathered locally, in particular by the Committee for Historical and Archaeological Studies of Eymet;
- Collection of your testimonies and memoirs of the mill;
- Presentation of the renovation project for the Eymet mill and the construction site-school led by Epidropt and the Le Cluzeau high school;
- Readings of texts on mills.

The water mill of Eymet was built in the thirteenth century when the seigneurial bastide was founded and benefits from the port on the last navigable part of the Dropt which transports agricultural production to the cities of Dordogne. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was transformed into a flour mill and supplied all the bakeries of the Bergerac region. Its activity ceased in 1989 when the last miller retired. It has been under renovation since 2013 to restore its original beauty and craft vocation.
