At the confluence of the Dordogne and Sumene rivers, the Gratte Bruyère viewpoint, recognized by all ornithologists in the Limousin region and even elsewhere, is a natural site remarkable both for its diversity and the number of birds that can be observed. Overlooking the Gorges of these two rivers, Gratte Bruyère is the ideal point of observation for the discovery of the avifauna, privileged reflection of the Corréziennes species and in particular of the diurnal raptors, such peregrine falcon, booted eagle, circaète Jean le blanc, Crowded apivore, royal kite, black kite, buzzard... But one can also observe raptors at night; thus, the impressive owl owl owl regularly sings there on winter evenings.
