Discovery day in the footsteps of the European otter along the Petite Vézère on the plateau of Millevaches
Bugeat is a village in Haute Corrèze on the Millevaches plateau in the Millevaches Regional Park in the Limousin region whose emblem is the otter.
It is watered by the Vézère and the Petite Vézère. The latter will be our place of discovery.
We will reach the banks of the Petite Vézère. We will learn to discover the signs of presence of this emblematic species of the Plateau de Millevaches in Limousin: the otter of Europe. During our surveys we will talk about the ethology of this animal (behavior, life, biology...). We will end the walk by visiting the fish farm.
After an aperitif offered by the municipality, plan a moment of restoration with a picnic taken from the bag. You will be able to watch the film «La loutre en toute intimité» by Stéphane Raimond and Ronan Fournier-Christol followed by a debate with Stéphane Raimond - expert for the National Plan in favor of the otter of Europe.
