The early music ensemble was created in July 2021, bringing together several students, youth and adults. Initially formed by recorders and string instruments, over the months the ensemble has been enriched by performances, with percussion, brass, and pupils of the singing class. It thus becomes a modular and unifying ensemble that allows the different classes of the conservatory to meet around the work of a vast repertoire, which ranges from Renaissance dances or songs to works composed during the baroque period (1600 to 1750).
Part of the pedagogical aspect, concerts are also intended to make the public of Dordogne discover the treasures of these music sometimes forgotten.
The ensemble performed in Montbazillac, in Condat-sur-Trincou as part of Châteaux en fête, in the Protestant temple of Bergerac, and with the baroque choir of Dordogne in the abbey of Chancelade.
