To know a city better you have to let yourself wander through its streets. To know its architecture, you have to observe the houses. The itinerary starts with the former presbytery of the church of Notre Dame du Voeux and focuses on the evolution of the architecture of the buildings, their decorations of facades and their pitches on the allotted plots. It will be an opportunity to discover the transformation and development of an entire district, to notice the work of René Emile Levavasseur, Cherbourgeois architect known for the construction of the Transatlantic Station. The final point is the Montebello garden, built at the request of the Horticultural Society of Cherbourg to test plants and grafts.
