Thanks to the action of the town hall, supported by the Department, the Prefecture, the Bern Mission and the exceptional mobilization of the premises (associations, companies and individuals), the church Notre-Dame de Beauficel-en-Lyons was able to benefit from restoration work in 2020-2021, which were able to save this historic monument from ruin in the heart of the Lyons forest.

The church (listed as a Historical Monument since 1940) was built from the 13th century (nave and bedside), then continued in the 14th-15th centuries (transept). The porch (listed as a Historical Monument since 1925) dates from the 16th century, as does the bell tower which recently benefited from an important restoration work (2020-2021).
