Die Abtei von Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, eine benediktinische Stiftung aus der Zeit von Wilhelm dem Eroberer, bewahrt eine imposante romanische Abteikirche, die nach dem Hundertjährigen Krieg teilweise im spätgotischen Stil wieder aufgebaut wurde. Das nach der Revolution von 1789 in einen Steinbruch umgebaute Gebäude wäre völlig verschwunden, wenn es nicht auf Initiative der heiligen Maria Magdalena Postel und ihrer noch im Entstehen begriffenen Kongregation, die 1832 hierher gekommen war, aus ihren Ruinen gehoben worden wäre.

A Benedictine foundation dating from the reign of William the Conqueror, the Abbey of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte retains an imposing Romanesque abbey church, partially rebuilt in flamboyant Gothic style after the Hundred Years' War. Transformed into a quarry after the Revolution of 1789, the building would have disappeared completely if it had not been removed from its ruins at the initiative of Saint Marie-Madeleine Postel and her still nascent congregation, who had come to settle there in 1832.

Fondazione benedettina risalente al regno di Guglielmo il Conquistatore, l'abbazia di Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte conserva un'imponente chiesa abbaziale di epoca romanica, parzialmente ricostruita in stile gotico fiammeggiante dopo la guerra dei cent'anni. Trasformato in cava dopo la Rivoluzione del 1789, l'edificio sarebbe completamente scomparso se non fosse stato rialzato dalle sue rovine per iniziativa di santa Maria Maddalena Postel e della sua congregazione ancora nascente, venute a stabilirvisi nel 1832.

Fondation bénédictine datant du règne de Guillaume le Conquérant, l’abbaye de Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte conserve une imposante église abbatiale d'époque romane, partiellement reconstruite en style gothique flamboyant après la guerre de Cent ans.
Transformé en carrière après la Révolution de 1789, l’édifice aurait totalement disparu s’il n’avait été relevé de ses ruines à l’initiative de sainte Marie-Madeleine Postel et de sa congrégation encore naissante, venues s’y établir en 1832.

Fundación benedictina que data del reinado de Guillermo el Conquistador, la abadía de San Salvador el Vizconde conserva una imponente iglesia abacial de época románica, parcialmente reconstruida en estilo gótico flamígero después de la guerra de los Cien años. Transformado en carrera después de la Revolución de 1789, el edificio habría desaparecido totalmente si no hubiera sido levantado de sus ruinas por iniciativa de santa María Magdalena Postel y de su congregación todavía naciente, que se establecieron allí en 1832.
