À propos du lieu

Éco-domaine de Bouquetôt
Ferme de Bouquetôt - Chemin des Broches, 14950 Saint-Pierre-Azif
  • Calvados
  • Normandie
Located in the heart of the eco-domain of Bouquetôt, the farm of Bouquetôt is an old breeding farm located in the north of the Pays d'Auge, near the village of Saint-Pierre-Azif. It is a valuable testimony to rural life and the vernacular heritage that began in the 17th and 18th centuries. Until the late 1980s, these habitats enjoyed an independent way of life on the Bouquetôt lands. The seven buildings that compose it, renovated by the Coeur Côte Fleurie Community of Communes, testify to this: a large press, a bakehouse, a stable, a stable, an imposing building for the dwelling, a kettle, a sheepfold. These buildings are scattered in the middle of a pre-orchard, surrounded by meadows, forests, streams and numerous water sources. Typical of traditional half-timbered architecture, they are part of a centuries-old know-how.
