On the occasion of the Normandy Matrimoine Days, the Manufacture wishes to renew its commitment to gender parity in science and digital. Thus, as in the previous year, she wishes to join the HF Normandie movement by participating in the enhancement and recognition of the heritage of women in science and their place in our contemporary society. This day will be an opportunity to shed light on the significant contribution of women to our knowledge in the scientific sector. This commitment to gender parity is part of the associative project.
In fact, with a National Education accreditation, the Manufacture regularly works with schools, colleges and the University of Rouen to raise girls' and boys' awareness of scientific and technical culture. Knowing that there are too few girls in scientific and technical studies, she wishes to report on this finding and show young girls that all the doors are open to them. For this, the Manufacture is offering a day on Women and Astronomy on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
As part of this special day, the Manufacture gives families the opportunity to participate in planetarium sessions.
Three planetarium sessions will be offered.
These sessions are intended to allow the initiation to astronomy (constellations, solar system) through mythological tales and legends.
