Île Tatihou
BP 3, 50550 Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue
Far from the mainland and yet firmly anchored in the bustling port of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Tatihou Island is a haven for all lovers of fresh air and maritime history. On this 28-hectare territory, the Conseil Départemental de la Manche and the Conservatoire du Littoral join forces to conserve and enhance the island’s wealth. From the Vauban fortifications to the Atlantic Wall, Tatihou has kept marks of the past. The lives of the men who stayed here can be read through landscapes and buildings. By the sea or in the middle of oyster beds at low tide, the amphibious boat takes you to the island from April to November. Tatihou is a concentrate of the maritime world. Its doors are open, enter by the one of your choice!
