The cathedral Notre-Dame dominates the city of Coutances. The Romance structure of the XIth century s. was kept(preserved) inside the Gothic envelope of the XIIIth century s. The tower - lantern dominates the city; it was admired by Vauban. The visit of the high parts(parties), with a guide lecturer, allows to discover the Romance forums(stands), the stained-glass windows, skeletons and the breathtaking points of view on the architectural lines of the marvel of Norman Gothic. © Cathedral of Coutances
