With its main house, its domestic outbuildings, its industrial facilities and its landscaping, the Pécoul house today forms a harmonious whole, witnessing a history of more than three centuries. It is not the mimetic reconstruction of a previous state at a given time but the culmination of a long history that saw the construction, transformation, demolition and restoration of the various buildings. It is this superimposition of architectural and human histories that the Clément Foundation is trying to preserve with the heritage project undertaken since 2001.
