«Zadkine en musique» by the student musicians of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris | Solos and duos of violin, voice, guitar and viola

Direction: Stéphanie Moraly, violin teacher at the CRR

In partnership with the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris, the student musicians of Stéphanie Moraly’s violin class will perform a musical program illustrating the main features of Ossip Zadkine’s life and encounters.
From the Russian composers Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Prokofiev, Reinhold Glière to the French music of the Six: Darius Milhaud and Arthur Honegger, to the Jewish music of Eastern Europe, the violin will be in the spotlight.
From 14h to 17h30 continuous
Saturday 17 September from 2pm to 5.30pm

Just a stone’s throw from the Jardin du Luxembourg and Montparnasse, the Zadkine museum, a place of memory and charm, is dedicated to the work of the Russian-born sculptor Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967), a master of direct pruning and a major figure at the École de Paris. The house, and the studio that houses it, were the place of life and creation of the artist from 1928 to 1967\. Nestled in the greenery of its garden populated with sculptures, the museum was renovated on the occasion of its thirty years close to the spirit of workshop, which it is one of the last places to witness. The presentation of his collections, rethought around the question of matter, makes dialogue under the light of glass, plaster, earth, wood and stones.
