European Heritage Days are always an opportunity to discover places that are not usually open to the general public. This 2022 edition is no exception to the rule and, among others, the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris welcomes you behind hidden doors on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September 2022.

From 10am to 6pm, marvel at the 16th century reading room with its painted beams and its impressive collection of ancient books (more than a thousand!)… and discover the extension inaugurated in 1969 during the installation of the library in this place. During these Heritage Days, you can also attend presentations of the history of the building and its successive owners, but also of remarkable pieces of the library. Free entry within the limit of places available.
