The Provins and Provinois Museum is housed in the Romanesque House (listed as a historical monument), one of the oldest civil buildings in the city. Its facade in small regular apparatus and its lower room date back to the twelfth century. Spread over four levels and a dozen rooms, the collections of the City and the History and Archaeology Society of the borough of Provins allow to retrace the history of Provins and its region of Prehistory on the eve of the First World War.

The Romanesque house, located in the upper town of Provins, is one of the oldest civil buildings of this medieval town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the collections of the City and the History and Archaeology Society of the borough of Provins, which retrace the history of the city from prehistory to 1914\. It includes a superb collection of religious art, but also medieval pavement tiles. City of Provins, Municipal Archives
