Saint-Etienne-du-Mont
The Saint-Etienne-du-Mont church combines the flamboyant Gothic with the Renaissance style as well as the remarkable Baroque art on its composite façade. It is the only Parisian church to have preserved its jubé, a magnificent balcony located at the crossroads of the nave and transept, all carved in limestone lace. Its pulpit is also unique as is its organ buffet. It houses the shrine of Saint Geneviève, patron saint of Paris. Its location is in the heart of the Latin Quarter, at the time of Covis and Queen Clotilde, where a first building was built before the one that lasted until today. An invitation to go back in time, to the origins of Christian roots of France, to the time of Lutetia.
