Guided tour of La Clarte-Dieu and the park

The team of employees, volunteers and the communities present on site offer you a guided tour of the Spiritual Center of Clarity-God.

The tour will start indoors and continue in the park. A concert will close in the afternoon in the Grande Chapelle.
Here is the programme for Sunday 18 September:
15h-16h30: Guided tour of the reception house,
16h30-17h00: Guided tour of the park and the aqueducts,
Concert in the Grande Chapelle by the cellist-composer, Dominique de Williencourt,
18h: Glass of friendship.

The Friars Minor, or Franciscans, settled in 1950 in a large property purchased from the Courtépée-Lesourd family to establish their seminary of formation at the presbyterate for the young religious, and open a spiritual reception centre for the laity inspired by Franciscan spirituality. Several buildings were built, including a large complex comprising a church, classrooms and meeting rooms, a large library, and premises to support a community of some sixty religious. They called this place "La Clarté-Dieu", from the name of a famous Cistercian abbey of Touraine. In 1969, the theological seminary was closed, and the premises of the seminary were dedicated to the reception of groups of Christians wishing to retreat, to organize formation sessions, or to meet. The house is open today to all the apostolic activities of the Christian Churches.
