The University Library of Paris 8, built in 1998 by the architect Pierre Riboulet and equipped by the designer Albert Gilles-Cohen, is "a bridge-building with bird-books". Designed for accompany learning, it is a lasting testimony of the cultural heritage of the Seine-Saint-Denis.
It carries on the pediment anagrams of theOulipo (The future is to the readers/ Only exact star a book) and offers its 23,000 students a surface area of 15,000 m², 400,000 books and cutting-edge digital equipment.
We suggest you visit it on Saturday, September 17 from 10 am to 5 pm. We will walk together in the public spaces and shops, and end with the exhibition from the lobby.
