Created in the Middle Ages, the domain of the Grange-la-Prévôté is administered by a provost, from which comes the qualifier. The park is designed in the eighteenth century following the model of the French gardens. The history of the site changed after the Revolution when General Bernadotte and his wife Désirée Clary bought the estate. The latter gave a new impetus to the park by creating chestnut alleys and an English-style park and entrusted the estate to his brother, Nicolas Clary, in 1812\. The development of the estate continued in the 19th century by the Clary family until 1926\. During this period, the estate continued to expand to 1,100 hectares, thanks to numerous innovations in the agricultural sector. The estate is then owned by industrialists, then by the Gustave Roussy Institute, which specializes in cancer treatment. The activities of this annex ceased in 1997\.
