The Théophile Roussel Hospital Center in Montesson, Public Mental Health Establishment in the areas of Yvelines Nord, opens its doors on SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBER at 14:00, as part of a guided tour of its history and activities today (exhibition, videos, meetings with professionals, visit of the park).
PROGRAMME > Rendezvous at 14:00 > Exhibition «from 1895 to today... and towards tomorrow» (photos, archival documents, future projects...) > Film on history (12') and selection of videos on the CHTR today (20' maximum) > Exchanges with CHTR professionals > Guided tour in the park (about 40 minutes) - Passage in front of the frescoes of Street Art realized in 2018 and 2022 End of the visit estimated at 16:30 Possibility to leave during the program

Today a specialized hospital in psychiatry, the institution was inaugurated in 1895 by Félix Faure, as Maison d'éducation Le Peletier-de-Saint-Fargeau (penal colony) and then preserved to replace the Petite Roquette prison in Paris. From 1975, the inter-departmental institute evolved into a real hospital specialized in child psychiatry. In 1995, the hospital housed three sectors of general psychiatry. In 2004, he took the name of Centre hospitalier Théophile-Roussel, public institution of inter-departmental mental health.
