Résidence du Préfet du Val-d'Oise - Hôtel Le Vasseur de Verville
39 rue de la Coutellerie 95300 Pontoise
In 1767, the lord of Verville, squire and controller of the king’s house, transformed the residence of his parents into a "madness". The façade of the hotel is neoclassical, with a portico of four Corinthian columns surmounted by a balustrade. Inside: rich tapestries with characters, composed of six panels executed in Beauvais according to the drawings of Boucher and Fragonard. The hotel has retained most of its original furniture (Regency seats, commode marquetry...) The gardens offer a beautiful view of Pontoise.
