On the occasion of the 39th edition of the European Heritage Days, on 17 and 18 September 2022, the public institution responsible for the conservation and restoration of the Notre-Dame CathedralDame de Paris will offer an exceptional dive in the heart of the first restoration operations of the cathedral with a construction site village that will be held on the forecourt of the cathedral.
This weekend’s programme includes meetings, conferences, demonstrations and participatory workshops with all the professional bodies involved in the renaissance of the monument: project management and project management teams, companions, craftsmen and archaeologists.
In the heart of the construction site village, four spaces will allow the public to discover all the stages of the first months of the restoration, in the presence of the actors mobilized: - space preparatory operations to the restoration - space interior restorations - space arrow and transept - space archaeological excavations
