Passing from one century to the next, storyteller Christine Graffard offers a fun and endearing vision of the history of food in the Val-de-Marne by cutting it into small appetizing pieces. The flying table of King Louis XV in Choisy-le-Roi, the bread of the Revolution, the most beautiful potato in Fontenay-sous-Bois, the wine of Limeil or the shared vegetable gardens that mark the landscape of the suburbs are to be consumed without moderation.

In 2002, the Val-de-Marne General Council acquired an old house that was in turn a boarding house for children from the 1930s, a shelter for Jewish children during the Second World War and finally a retirement home until 1998\. Inaugurated in September 2009, the site is now a place of resources on the history and heritage of the department with a programming offer for all audiences. The Maison de l'histoire et du patrimoine brings together: - the headquarters of partner associations of the Val-de-Marne Departmental Archives Directorate, - a space for hosting initiatives highlighting the department’s history, heritage and memory (exhibitions, conferences, workshops...), - a place of resources on heritage.
