What could be more solid than a sculpture? And yet, when a statue has been exposed outdoors for centuries, it gets damaged and becomes fragile. How can we combat this degradation? What human and technical resources are deployed to ensure the conservation of this precious heritage and to transmit it in the best possible condition to future generations?
