"Lights born from the Light"

Photograph by Marie-Françoise Malheu and Claire Artemyz

Dates:
17 September (Heritage Days) to 1 October (Nuit Blanche)
The exhibition:
It was during the long period of confinement that Marie-Françoise Malheu made her images of light, which she exhibited for the first time. The light comes back every day, but it is unpredictable and changeable and it is the moment of passage through the window that the photographer has fixed.
At a time when few people were sufficiently educated to have direct access to biblical texts, stained glass windows made Holy History accessible through images. Claire Artemyz is inspired by this idea to put in dialogue her photographs and biblical quotations or prayers.
Location:
Saint-Gervais church, the chapels on the south side.
