Exhibition "Parvis de Notre-Dame"- Free entrance
In parallel with the restoration of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, the City undertook a reflection to reimagine the surroundings of the cathedral. The challenge is twofold: to connect the monument to the city, to the Seine, to allow to welcome worthily the 12 million visitors who go there every year; to offer a showcase to the monument to the measure of the passion it arouses. The fire and the wave of emotion it generated gave the extent of it. To obtain the best possible answer, an international competition was launched in the form of a “competitive dialogue”.
After telling the great moments of the history of this unique place, the historic cradle of the capital, the exhibition presents the projects of the four teams invited to compete: - Antoine Dufour Architectes - Michel Desvigne Paysagiste - Atelier Jacqueline Osty & Associés - Bas Smets Office
