Discovery of the Clos Rabelais vineyard in the garden of the Meudon Museum of Art and History: meeting with the enthusiasts of the association "Les Compagnons de Jean des Entommeures" and tasting of the 2018, 2019 and 2021 vintages.
The Association Jean des Entommeures is an association governed by Law 1901 whose purpose is the exploitation for educational, cultural and tourist purposes of the municipal vineyard of Meudon, Le Clos Rabelais. It is located in the gardens of the Museum and Art and History of Meudon. The first feet were planted in 1994 on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of François Rabelais, a man of letters and church, famous author of «Gargantua» and «Pantagruel», who held the parish of Meudon from 1551 to 1553. The area of Clos Rabelais is about half a hectare. It has 448 vines, including red varieties, 191 Cabernet Sauvignon and 228 Cabernet Franc. In addition,16 feet Chasselas, 8 of Godello, 4 Muscats of Hamburg and a foot of Verdej complete the vineyard for white.
