Romanesque church of the Clunisian priory of Longpont, place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages. Mural painting early twentieth century. Very rich reliquary, exceptionally visible. From the priory Notre-Dame itself, only the old priory church has reached us. Built in the 11th-12th centuries, its lower parts are Romanesque and its vaults are original. His reliquary is the second in France, after that of Toulouse, and first by the number of his relics. The site of Longpont-sur-Orge has the characteristic of having preserved a whole environment witness to the role played by the Clunisian monks in medieval society. Thus, the tithes barn, built in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. and enlarged in the eighteenth century, forms a quadrilateral of 40 m by 20 m with two sides, a nave and twelve pillars. The 18th century priory farm adjoins this barn. The hamlet, built around the priory complex, is also preserved, with its five narrow streets converging towards the basilica. Greenery, old
