This is partly true because it is here that Georges Méliès, inventor of special effects and pioneer of fiction in cinema, created the world’s first film studio and directed more than 500 films. We will rediscover the city with him, from the cinema «Le Méliès» to the location of its studios now disappeared, while paying tribute to other figures of Montrealer cinema such as Emile Reynaud, the inventor of the cartoon, and the directors of Studios Pathé-Albatros.
