“I declare that I am speaking to what is left of your childhood… It is a bit of this naivety that I ask you and to bring luck to all, let me tell you the four magic words, true sesame you open from childhood: once upon a time…” Jean Cocteau.
On Saturday 17 September at 11:00 am at the Maison Jean Cocteau, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, The Court of Tales takes you to the world of Voltaire, La Fontaine, Giono... but especially Cocteau by making you (re)discover some of the fantastic myths and animals that inspired his work. On the program, a poetic, narrated walk in the heart of the enchanted atmosphere of the garden and the house of Jean Cocteau.
Suspended over a story, the storytellers guide you through the garden alleys and the hallways of the house, and make you discover, in their own way, this place of inspiration and magic.

Jean Cocteau acquired this house in 1947, a refuge far from Paris and its society life(polite small talk). He received his friends there, together with his companion(journeyman) Edward Dermit who kept(preserved) him(it) undamaged until he{she} dies in 1995\. He(It) reserved 500 works of Cocteau for this house and made sure that rooms(parts,plays) dear to the poet stay unchanged. After 5 working years, it is possible to discover to it the perfect return(restoration) of the room(chamber), of the office(desk) and of the big(great) lounge(show), a large number of works graphic of Cocteau, a room of projection... By merciful time(weather), 2 hectares of property suggest the visitors in the domestic garden, the orchard and the wood.
