This botanical walk aims to make the visitors discover the tinctorial secrets of the plant setting imagined by Chateaubriand. In support, a colour album is made from the "tintothèque" of Pérégreen. The walk also evokes the processes of natural dyeing as well as its history and future.

It was in this famous hermitage that Chateaubriand undertook the writing of his "Mémoires d'outre-tombe". The author fashions the property to his liking, building a portico supported by two white marble cariatides and decorating the north facade in troubadour style. The wooded park, planted by the author himself, is a mirror of his native Brittany and his travels in America and the Mediterranean. The carefully restored house offers a refined decor in the taste of the early nineteenth century.
