Nogent-sur-Marne Architectural Tour (19th and 20th centuries)
Nogent sur Marne and the Perreux sur Marne, like many towns of the small crown, experienced a demographic explosion at the end of the 19th century. At the same time, a new leisure company was developed on the water’s edge on the mythical Marne River (guinguettes, musette balls, water sports, holiday homes...).
The urban landscape has been transformed by these changes. New lifestyles and construction methods have resulted in a rich architectural creativity that you will discover during this visit. The architectural styles of Art Nouveau, characteristic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and of Art Deco (from the 1920s to the 1930s) are a very beautiful representation.
This visit, proposed by the Tourist Office of the Marne Valley, will allow you to discover the most remarkable Art Nouveau and Art Deco buildings of these residential areas.
