"1942" Helios Azoulay and Incidentale Music Ensemble Concert
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Martyrs of the Deportation Memorial invites you to attend the concert of Helios Azoulay and the Incidentale Music Ensemble "1942" on Sunday, September 18 at 6 pm.
"Music is inheriting life!" cries Helios Azoulay.
In nearly 20 years of concerts, the one whom the press calls Chaplin’s hidden son, directs with a communicative incandescence the musicians of the Incidentale Music Ensemble who have become the reference performers of the most disturbing repertoire. Music composed in concentration camps: Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sachsenhausen, Theresienstadt…
From Lullabies forgotten in Poignant Serenades, from a crying violin to an exulting clarinet, "… even in Auschwitz" is much more than a tribute concert. It is at once the most beautiful of the Kaddish and a last foot to the executioners. And we come out with wet eyes, a smile on our lips, and the rage to live higher than life!
