Hôtel de ville de Beauvais
1 rue Desgroux
The town hall was built in 1753 in a classical style according to the plans of Bayeux, the king’s architect. It is built on the site of the old «common houses» established following the adoption of the communal charter in the 11th century. Only the facade of the town hall survived the bombing of 1940\. The rest of the square is rebuilt according to the modern current by the architect Georges Noël, who creates a dialogue between the facade of the town hall and the buildings by adopting a classical architecture with stone facing.
