You can visit this family property that was built by the great-great - grandparents of the current owners.
This place has a double interest: Architectural: the horseshoe building, revolutionary at the time by its design in free and individual stables for livestock, brought together all the activities of a traditional farm. This forward-thinking concept was designed to take into account animal welfare and to facilitate and improve the organisation of the work of the staff. History: During the First World War, the Valvion was requisitioned to establish the English headquarters. In 1916, Sir Douglas Haig moved there to lead his army in the Battle of the Somme. August 12 was a historic day for the Valvion: Sir Douglas Haig received King George V, President Poincaré, Generals Foch and Joffre, to organize the union between the armies.

During the visit, the owners will present these 2 aspects of the property. Their maternal grandfather, Gérard Bouthors, wrote his memoirs, which allowed them to present the places with a lot of details and anecdotes.
