wood sculptures by Emmanuel DEGAND

exhibition of wooden objects and sculptures by the artist Emmanuel Degand
17 septembre - 5 octobre 2022Passé
Ville de Saint Pol sur Ternoise

Domiciled in Saint Pol sur Ternoise, Emmanuel Degand presents from 17/09 to 05/10/2022 wooden objects and sculptures. In 1989, Emmanuel Degand started with the companions-carpenters. Then he obtains various diplomas including a Professional baccalaureate (medal of the most deserving student!) as well as a CAP of ornamental sculpture. He became a teacher at the Orphelins Apprentis d'Auteuil in La Bassée, and at the Lycée Allende in Béthune. In 2007, the sculptor settled under the banner «Wood and Sculpture» in Merlimont, his hometown and in 2010, he moved to Saint Pol sur Ternoise.
Wood is a noble material with which the artist lives and loves to compose: cherry, beech, oak, ash, linden… He does interior carpentry but also decorative, like clocks, toys, lamps.
His greatest desire is to be able to transmit his knowledge. It then provides amateurs from the age of 8, whether individuals or school groups, with training courses
Emmanuel Degand took part in numerous exhibitions in Montreuil-sur-Mer on the occasion of the international sculpture exhibition in Achicourt where he won the First Prize. With the Jean Zay College in Lens, he participated in a project for the Louvre-Lens.
