The Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens in Blérancourt was built around 1537, at the instigation of Guillaume Lanvin, lord of Blérancourt and squire of the king. Built on the site of an older church of the twelfth century, it underwent successive transformations. From the early church, only the nave and the choir remain. The bas-sides were built only in 1620, at the initiative of Bernard Potier, Marquis de Blérancourt, and his wife Charlotte de Vieux-Pont. In 1740, the choir was reorganized and two niches were created in the thickness of the walls on both sides of the high altar. On each side of this sanctuary are two chapels: the one on the left is dedicated to the Virgin Mary; the one on the right, formerly dedicated to Saint Francis de Sales, is today dedicated to the Sacred Heart.
