Limestone quarries have been exploited locally since the Middle Ages to build houses, churches or castles such as the keep of Septmonts.

The Noyant quarries are among the few underground quarries still in operation. This tour will introduce you to traditional know-how and the stone transformation route, from the underground gallery to the sawmill. The reception and visit will be provided by the site manager, Emeric de Kervenoaël. Visit upon registration to the CIAP: 03 23 93 30 56 (limited number of places). Closed shoes required.
