Discover the genius of glass and the magic of crystal in a green setting! Nearly 650 pieces created by René Lalique and his successors are presented.
The museum aims to make discover the Lalique creation in all its diversity, with an emphasis on glass creation. Not only are exceptional pieces presented - be it jewellery, drawings, perfume bottles, objects from the arts of the table, chandeliers, radiator plugs or vases - but the museum also makes it possible to discover atmospheres through large format photographs and audiovisual.
For example, visitors can visit the 1900 World Exhibition to see René Lalique’s stand or discover the 1925 Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. Finally, because all these objects would not exist without their know-how, tribute is paid to the women and men who perpetuate the glass tradition. It is possible to discover their work in particular through a tactile table dedicated to the Bacchantes vase that retraces the making of this piece created in 1927.
From the mold to the finished vase, the visitor can see small films on each of the stages of the process and experience by touching the changes made to the material.
