Clery-le-Petit was once a fortified commune. From its fortress of the Middle Ages only a tower became the bell tower of the church. This tower with a built-up roof served as a refuge during the wars of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The church of Cléry-le-Petit is provided with a single vessel. Its choir dates from the twelfth century, vestige of the old seigneurial chapel. A stone statue of the 15th century represents Saint Vincent, patron saint of the building. Today, it is painted white and its original polychromy is visible below. It has been listed as a Historical Monument since 1991\. A stained-glass window of the choir also represents Saint Vincent with his attribute, the cluster of grapes. Its strong presence can be explained by the past winemaker of the territory.
