Discover the three vaulted basins that fed the wash-house

From the underground galleries you can admire the impressive stone structure used as a fire reserve since 1887, as well as the pipes and their valves that fed the wash-house.

Three vaulted ponds, of 360 m3, were built by the entrepreneur(contractor) Guémard of Damblain, on a project of the agent Voyer of 1884, at the foot of the Town Hall. Fed by a source(spring), they served as reserve and fed, in their turn, the new wash house.
