The current castle of Donjeux was built on the location of a castle - forts of very old(former) origin (that legend attributes(awards) to the fairy Mélusine) property of the Sire of Joinville, then dukes of Please. It was built in 1755, in homage in the kings Louis XIV and Louis XV. It is surrounded with a formal garden.
