In 1153, Saint Bernard would have come to pray at the foot of the oak. It is reported that in the wood called «Garenne des Comtes», a young shepherd would have found a statue of the Virgin in the cavity of an oak. Several times brought back by the shepherd in his cottage, then placed in the church of Bar-sur Seine… it returns to its oak.

Neogothic chapel of the XIXth century established on a place of very old(former) pilgrimage instead of a wooden chapel of 1669\. She(It) was built in 1867 around an oak of more than 800 years, in which was found a statue of the Virgin(Virgo) cut in a piece of 12 cm wood.
