By 1802, the future baron of Empire Mathieu de Fabvier bought an old(former) feudal castle located on foothills of Vosges, at the foot of which he made build a manor of Directoire style. On the slope which separates the house Management board and the "Gothic" fortress, he(it) made do up a "garden-picture("garden-board) " in compliance with fashionable models since the end of the XVIIIth century s.
