«Eye of lynx and feet of steel» is a photo rally to discover the streets of Gerbéviller and Haudonville, looking for traces of the «Sustainable Heritage».
The entries are available at the Gerbéviller Municipal Media Library, in the Gerbéviller and Haudonville Town Halls, at the Joly bakery. It is possible to participate until September 14 and a walk is organized on Saturday, September 17 to discover the correct answers.
In partnership with the departmental media library of Meurthe-et-Moselle.

Gerbéviller: The city is nestled in the heart of the Mortagne valley. Spread out on both banks of this river, the city is nevertheless mainly built on its left bank where the oldest buildings are located. La Mortagne is divided in Gerbéviller into several branches that once fed many wash houses and other mills. The most important arm, called here the Canal, is spanned by wooden bridges. Various archaeological findings show that the territory has been inhabited at least since Gallo-Roman times.
Haudonville: Haudonville is an old Lorrain village mentioned for the first time in the 12th century in a charter of the abbey of Beaupré, but the existence of a rural estate is undoubtedly anterior, that is to say of Merovingian or Carolingian times. During one or more undefined historical periods, Haudonville was only a dependency of Gerbéviller.
