Discover an exhibition by a visual artist and doucier inspired by the bestiaries of the Middle Ages.

The artist Didier Clad:
Artist-visual artist and doucier, settled in Kruth for thirty years and awarded several awards, including that of winner of the prize of the fine arts in the Haut-Rhin in 2000 (SEMA, Paris), he has been working on his bestiary since 2015.
The exhibition:
The artist is inspired by the bestiaries of the Middle Ages and represents animals that he regularly crosses around his village. It is also a metaphor of the Garden of Eden. Every year, this bestiary is increased by two new prints.
The bestiary is an artist’s book in the form of a copper box made in twenty copies, one of which was acquired by the Cabinet des Estampes of the National and University Library of Strasbourg. The prints come from the successive printing of two copper plates engraved from all techniques of the fresh cut: etching, chisel, aquatint, diamond and dry tip….
Presentation of 15 framed prints (55x60cm), the copper box and two copper plates engraved with prints in the windows.
Also on display are the two stone lithographs made in November 2020 with Tom Borroco: La poule confinée and La poule déconfinée, 3 months before his death in March 2021.
Tribute to Tom Borrocco who animated the JEP 2020 in the courtyard of the museum.
