The castle of Woerth shelters the Museum of the battle of August 6th, 1870\. Built in the XIVth century, the castle will be extended in the XVIth century: with the medieval tower are joined two wings which head teacher(main clause) is dated of 1554-1555\. In the XXth century, additions of elements in style neo-revival. The donjon and its staircase with screw as well as facades, roofing and external staircase of the main wing are registered in conformance with(for) historic monuments since 2002\. The museum is devoted to battle called «Battle of Reischoffen» of August 6th, 1870, which concerns the municipalities of Froeschwiller and of Woerth. Most exhibits had found on the battlefield. The paintings(boards) of Edward Detaille and of Georges Louis Hyon in particular evoke this episode of the War of 1870.
